Welcome to Make This Tonight. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Make This Tonight mobile application (the "App") operated by Indie AI Labs ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Account Registration
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Description of Service
Make This Tonight is an AI-powered meal planning application that allows you to:
- Import recipes from websites, photos, and videos using AI extraction
- Organize recipes in a personal digital cookbook
- Create weekly meal plans
- Generate smart grocery lists from your planned meals
- Follow step-by-step cooking instructions
4. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers both a free tier and a paid subscription ("Pro"). Details of each plan's features are available within the App.
- Free Plan: Includes limited recipe imports per week and basic meal planning features.
- Pro Plan: Includes unlimited recipe imports, advanced meal planning, and additional features as described in the App.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's subscription settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of all recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and other content you create or import into the App ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your User Content. We do not claim ownership of any recipes or content you import or create.
6. AI-Generated Content
The App uses artificial intelligence to extract recipes from websites, photos, and videos. While we strive for accuracy, AI-extracted content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should always review extracted recipes for accuracy before cooking, particularly regarding:
- Ingredient quantities and measurements
- Cooking temperatures and times
- Allergen information
- Nutritional information (which is estimated and should not be relied upon for medical purposes)
We are not responsible for any errors in AI-extracted content or for any consequences resulting from reliance on such content.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the App
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Upload malicious content or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, features, branding, and documentation, is owned by Indie AI Labs and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Recipes imported from third-party sources may be subject to their own copyright protections. We do not claim ownership of third-party recipe content and provide import functionality as a personal organizational tool.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- AI-extracted recipes will be accurate or complete
- Nutritional information or cooking guidance will be suitable for your specific dietary needs or health conditions
- The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Indie AI Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account through the App's settings.
Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Indie AI Labs operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
